DAY 1 - THE PRISON BREAK |
| Not even given time to get over their jetlag,The Audiotrix badgirlz were whisked
off under high security conditions into a womens prison in the heart of
Bogota. After 3 hours of searches, passport controls, fingerprinting, photo taking (and even request for blood type!) ixindamix, feenix13, sweet pills (col), rachel (hekate), la krisis (col), dr fly (fr) and kalama t (fr) plus sound system crew finally gained access to the innards of the prison. The rig was quickly set up in the interior courtyard and after a few minor technical glitches the music kicked off with sweet pils, bogota's very own female minimal techno dj. the empty courtyard was suddenly filled with raving women prisoners loving it! The energy mounted throughout the afternoon courtesy of dr fly and ixindamix who filled the dancefloor, and ended with rachel's unique blend of death metal breakcore!! "As i set up the liveset in the jailhouse grounds i felt like i was following in the footsteps of elvis presley and johnny cash and had every intention of recording the "live in the jailhouse mix" but of course in the style of all the best live sets it was not to be and the recording didn't come out. I started the set with a live rendition of bad girls as i felt this was quite fitting considering the venue we were in! The vibe was intense and it was a rush when the
dancefloor started filling up: All in all the mission was a great sucess and we are happy to say that we rocked that jailhouse proper and that Audiotrix stickers have never been so popular!" FOOD! "It was on the
second day of the mish when i discovered the empanada and was soon
to realise that this tasty
item could well become the highlight of my trip.With countless combinations
of fillings and sauces there are endless possibilities for that South
America taste sensation...................... (Since writing this i discovered that the novelty of empanadas can wear off after a few days,if thats all you eat - but for just 2 euros you could get a full fish dinner with coconut rice and fried bananas - see slide show) (Ixindamix)
